Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Tech Resume JD Matcher collects, what it does not collect, and how personal data is handled when you use the onboarding flow and matching API.

Last updated: August 1, 2026

Information We Collect

  • Email address provided during onboarding.
  • Stored API key metadata, including a hashed API key, key prefix, activation status, creation time, and last-used time.
  • Daily and monthly API usage counters used to enforce rate limits.

Information We Do Not Intentionally Store

  • Resume text content in the application database.
  • Job description text content in the application database.
  • Resume scoring results in the application database.
  • Uploaded resume or job description files after request processing completes.

How Matching Data Is Processed

Resume content and job description content are processed in memory during the request so the service can extract text, identify skills, and calculate the response. The application does not persist those matching inputs or scoring results to its database after the response is returned.

Security

  • Traffic should be served over HTTPS in deployed environments.
  • API keys are stored as hashes rather than in raw form.
  • Rate limiting is enforced per API key using stored usage counters.

Cookies

This service does not use its own tracking cookies for analytics or advertising. Standard browser or hosting-layer technical behavior may still apply.

Third-Party Services

  • Hosting infrastructure such as Render may process request metadata needed to run the service.
  • Database infrastructure such as PostgreSQL hosting may store onboarding and API key records.
  • Email delivery is handled through the configured SMTP provider, such as Gmail SMTP.

User Rights

You may request deletion of your stored email address, account record, and associated API key records. You may also contact support with privacy-related questions.
